Volunteer Driver Programs in the Mid-State Region
Within the Mid-State Regional Coordinating Council area of New Hampshire access to basic and essential services is limited for residents who are unable to obtain reliable transportation due to age and disability or other limiting circumstances. The Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc. Volunteer Driver Program (VDP) augments and works with existing VDPs operating in and through Belknap and Merrimack counties to provide more extensive access to transportation. Volunteer drivers provide door-to-door service as well as feeder service to public transportation services and routes in the region including to the Rural Transportation System (RTS), Concord Area Transit (CAT) and Winnipesaukee Transit System (WTS).
Volunteer Driver Program Network of the Mid-State Region
Policies vary for each organization but please be aware that between 48 hours and one weeks notice are recommended for booking a ride. Click here or a pdf version of the VDP Network brochure.
